HERMES SYDNEY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Engineered European Oak Flooring in Storm
Hermes Sydney International Airport
Brushbox T&G solid flooring installed in picture frame pattern with the Hermes Logo carefully integrated into the flooring. The skill with both the installation and sanding is evident on this project.
This was not a standard Brushbox timber floor. Challenges were faced at every detail, from the set out through to installation and on to the Sand & Polish. Not only was the timber installed in a “picture frame” pattern, but our board lines and mitre joints had to meet the apexes of the joinery, the ceiling recesses and the main door way….everything was in lines and built in 90mm increments. Tolerances were below 1mm!
If that wasn’t enough, the Client wanted their logo….the Hermes Logo formally known as the ‘Ex-Libris’…inserted in the floor. The timber floor at the entrance was machined out to allow for the insertion of a 3mm Stainless Steel Ex-Libris. At the turn of the new year, the project was complete.
